Zenith has made a strong comeback in 2024, releasing multiple new Chronomaster models in addition to a blue-dialled boutique exclusive edition of their redesigned Pilot collection. The conventional to garish range is represented by the extended classic ’60s vibes of the Chronomaster Original and the more modern Chronomaster Sport. It’s reasonable to say that Zenith has positioned themselves nicely for 2024, joining the discourse about almost all watch categories.
Zenith Chronomaster Original Triple Calendar
This collection has 38mm steel cases that are identical in size to the Zenith A386 from 1969. As the name of the watch implies, this model combines a full calendar with a standard chronograph counter and a 1/10th of a second chronograph. The date is at the traditional-for-El-Primero 4:30 position, while the day and month are above the counters at 9 and 3, respectively. The 60-minute timer contains a moonphase indication at six o’clock as well.
The Zenith Chronomaster Original Triple Calendar chronographs come with a choice of steel bracelets or calfskin straps and are available with either silvery-white “panda” opaline dials with black counters, opaline slate-gray dials with silvery-white counters, or sunburst olive-green dials with silvery-white counters (boutique exclusive).
Zenith Chronomaster Sport Green
One of Zenith’s most popular contemporary releases is the Chronomaster Sport line with ceramic bezels, which debuted in 2021. Two new models featuring vivid green ceramic bezels have been added to the brand’s portfolio.
Zenith’s trademark tricolour counters in grey and blue hues sit at the centre of the green lacquer dial of the green Chronomaster Sport models that were unveiled during LVMH Watch Week 2024. At 4:30, there’s also a date window with matched colours. A 41 mm stainless steel case with pump-style pushers holds the dial. The watch’s self-winding El Primero 3600 movement, which has a power reserve of about 60 hours, is visible through the sapphire crystal on the caseback. The green Chronomaster Sport watches from Zenith come with a green rubber strap or a stainless steel band.
Zenith Chronomaster Sport Gem-Set
The first gem-set model in the line, the Chronomaster Sport, exemplifies how Zenith is fully embracing the combination of sporty chronographs and valuable jewels. The elegant chronograph has an 18k rose gold case and a bracelet in the same colour. A colour scheme reminiscent of the tricolour subdials is used in the bezel setting, which includes blue sapphires, black and grey spinels, and baguette-cut white diamonds.
In addition, the warm, rosy-hued meteorite dial, which complements the case and bracelet, has twelve baguette-cut diamond hour markers.
Some appealing variations from their Chronomaster Sport and Chronomaster Original collections are really widening their catalogue.
