IWC Schaffhausen
In 1868, a Boston watchmaker named Florentine Ariosto Jones sailed across the Atlantic to set up the International Watch Company on the bank of the Rhine Falls in Schaffhausen. His goal was to combine the modern manufacturing technology of the Americans with the unrivalled expertise of Swiss craftsmen to produce the best pocket watch movements of his time. Today, IWC Schaffhausen remains true to the legacy of Jones. The company’s six watch families—the Pilot’s Watches, Portugieser, Portofino, Ingenieur, Aquatimer, and Da Vinci—combine precision engineering with extraordinary and timeless design to bring unique emotions to their wearers’ wrists.
