Originally created in 1972, the iconic watch now known as the “Andy Warhol watch” was produced for less than a decade before its revival in 2014. Andy Warhol, the celebrated artist and cultural icon, was a close friend of the Piaget Maison and owned seven Piaget watches.
Among his collection, the one most associated with him is the watch featuring the revolutionary Beta21 movement, formerly known as the Black Tie watch. With its bold 45mm cushion-shaped case bordered by signature gadroons, it has become a must-have for collectors around the world.
Now, Piaget has officially partnered with The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts to rename this iconic piece in Warhol’s honour. The first watch to debut under this collaboration is the Andy Warhol Clou de Paris, showcasing a fresh take on the design.
It features a stunning Clou de Paris pattern on the case, a decorative technique from Piaget’s heritage, known for its textured, pyramid-like squares. Additionally, Piaget’s Made to Order personalisation service offers collectors the chance to create their own Andy Warhol watch.
Piaget’s designers took ten months to master the Clou de Paris finish on this white gold case, carefully adapting the pattern to the cushion shape, creating subtle layers and a captivating play of light, reminiscent of the original gadroon detailing.
The watch is finished with a striking blue meteorite dial, a tribute to Piaget’s tradition of using rare stones in exceptional creations, giving each piece a unique character.

Completing this vintage-inspired look are dauphine-style hands and classic indexes, all powered by Piaget’s in-house 501P1 self-winding movement. The Andy Warhol Clou de Paris watch joins a select series of timepieces in the Andy Warhol collection, which includes unique models like the 2023 Metaphoria piece with baguette-cut emeralds and petrified wood dials, as well as rose gold versions with malachite and black dials.
This latest addition brings Warhol’s timeless style into the present, blending vintage elegance with modern craftsmanship. Discover our Piaget collection online or visit The Time Place boutique for more information.
