Swiss luxury watch manufacturer, IWC Schaffhausen, celebrates ten years of partnership with the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One™ Team with the launch of the Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41. This remarkable timepiece features an eye-catching Miami Pink rubber strap, in line with the team’s appearance at the upcoming Miami Grand Prix™.
Reflecting the sun-kissed lifestyle of Miami and the vibrant colors of Ocean Drive, the Miami Pink rubber strap makes the timepiece a show-stopper. The strap’s color will match the pink details on the gloves and shoes of Lewis Hamilton and George Russell, who will sport the team’s appearance at the upcoming Miami Grand Prix™.

A Design Inspired by Motorsport Materials
Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One™ Team is made of grade 5 titanium, a material with a high strength-to-density ratio, making it 45 percent lighter than steel. The material is used widely in the automotive industry to manufacture components exposed to extreme stains, such as engine valves. Furthermore, the material is corrosion-resistant and skin-friendly.
The black dial features luminescence in the team’s signature PETRONAS green, complementing the watch’s striking design. IWC-manufactured 69385 caliber movement powers the chronograph perfectly, featuring a bi-directional pawl winding system that builds up a power reserve of 46 hours in the mainspring.
The movement comprises 242 parts and is designed with a column-wheel. They’re available in two versions. The existing version comes with a green rubber strap and a black calfskin strap. The new reference on the Miami Pink rubber strap comes with a green strap and is exclusively available online for a limited time. Thanks to the integrated EasX-CHANGE® system, the straps can be exchanged quickly and easily, without needing additional tools.
IWC Schaffhausen will celebrate its comeback to Miami by taking over Jungle Plaza in the Miami Design District from May 3–5. The event aims to showcase the brand’s values and craftsmanship, and visitors can experience the history and heritage of IWC. The exhibition will feature various interactive experiences, including an immersive watchmaking journey.
